 The 16th edition of the Asia Cup, which will feature One Day Internationals (ODI) matches, is being co-hosted by Pakistan and Sri Lanka and is also known as the Super 11 Asia Cup due to sponsorship reasons.Six teams are competing in the competition. It is slated to take place from August 30 to September 17, 2023. The current champions are Sri Lanka.With four matches taking place in Pakistan and the remaining nine matches taking place in Sri Lanka, this is the first Asia Cup to be staged in multiple nations.

The competition includes the five teams of the Asian Cricket Council: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. Nepal, who qualified by winning the 2023 ACC Men's Premier Cup, has now joined them. The competition will be contested in a "hybrid format" for the first time, with the games being organized in two nations. Except for India, which declined to visit Pakistan because to opposition from the Indian Government, all teams will play at least a few games there.The dates and format of the competition were confirmed when the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) released the pathway structure and calendar for 2023 and 2024 in January 2023.
